That’s what I’m doing, as I’m bringing my macbook.

If your laptop has built-in network adapters, record their MAC addresses and save them somewhere (other than on the laptop of course). If you ever lose the laptop, the authorities (or your favorite hacker) can track your laptop by the MAC address.
